Expected Pay Range:   OTE of $175,000 - $225,000 per year (base $100-$125k, commission $75-$100k)

Reports to:                    Senior Account Director

The Job

The Account Director’s primary job responsibility is closing Actify APM software subscription business with existing and new customers to achieve the agreed upon annual quota by adhering to Actify’s sales processes based on the Challenger sales methodology.

 

What you will be doing

  • Establish and execute a territory plan encompassing both existing and new customer opportunities.
  • Prospect for new customer opportunities through various channels including phone calls, email, Linkedin and Linkedin Navigator.
  • Follow-up with leads assigned in Salesforce in a timely manner.
  • Attend conferences, tradeshows, industry events and other networking opportunities as agreed to with sales management.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce for accounts, leads, opportunities and prospects including an activity history for each.
  • Present an up-to-date territory forecast to sales management and others as directed on at least a bi-weekly basis.
  • Coordinate meetings/conference calls between prospective customers and the Actify team for business discovery, technical discovery, and other interactions.
  • Educate prospective customers on Actify’s processes and requirements for a sale.
  • Close deals following Actify’s sales process and other internal processes including securing necessary signatures on the Master Subscription Agreement, proposals, and other documentation as required. This includes securing a purchase order that covers the initial term of all agreements.
  • Understand and communicate information on all product lines, company policies concerning terms and conditions of sale; including pricing, discounts, returns, credits and warranty.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from sales to post-sales training and implementation.
  • Act on the customer’s behalf as their advocate in all post-sales activities.
  • In collaboration with your manager, develop and execute a personal development plan.


What you bring to the team

  • 5+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing roles for enterprise software companies.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and specifically the automotive industry is a plus.
  • An avid hunter with a proven track record of sourcing new leads and leveraging social networking to gain access to decision-makers or influencers necessary to close business.
  • Demonstrate strong relationships with partners, advisors, and prospects.
  • Must demonstrate a consistent track record of achieving annual quota targets while providing specific details on key customer wins.
  • A successful track record of managing and closing complex sales campaigns, using outcome and solution selling techniques is a must. Challenger sales methodology experience is a plus.
  • Possesses a competitive attitude, strong work ethic and thrives in a fast pace, high growth, and matrixed organizational environment.
  • Collaboration, energy, enablement, a growth mindset, creativity, and trustworthiness.
  • Must be a proficient user of CRM systems and other MS Office tools.
  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent is desirable.

 

Position Details

This is a fully remote position, based anywhere in Michigan or Ohio.

 

This position involves frequent local travel, with additional travel to neighboring states generally defined as Auto Alley.  Occasional international travel will be required.  Travel should be in the range of 50%, including all kinds of travel.
